November and December '04

12/22/04 ~ Happy Holidays

Just want to  wish everyone a happy holiday season.  I'll be spending the next 10 days with my son and family.

12/13/04 ~ 1 book couldn't hold it all

Yeah so I'm convinced there would be no way for one book could hold even a fraction of the information about all the nuances women have.  Kissy-face girl came and went faster than Thanksgiving dinner.  As I mentioned before, she didn't want commitment and apparently I'm a commitment kind of guy.  Somehow she had the impression that I would convince her to be in a relationship. 

Let's review:  She said multiple times that she liked hanging out with me and that I was fun.  She asked me to Thanksgiving dinner after only really knowing me for two days.  She said she would like to meet my son.  I'm guilty of trying to convince her to come stay the night at my house after the bar, and believe me I had other things in mind than talking her into a relationship, if you know what I mean.  I'm also guilty of sending her a text message the next day saying, "You can make my lips sticky anytime!" (she had sticky lip gloss)

So anyway, apparently that all translates into me wanting a commitment.  And to think I even sang Karaoke for her, something I have only ever done twice before in my life.  My vote... she's a bit of a whack job.

In more exciting news, Brennan was home for Thanksgiving and we had a blast together.  We spent time up at my family's house in Petoskey and Boyne City and had a great time playing with Remote Control cars and going sledding on a half inch of snow.  He will be back in less than two weeks and I will have him for a good ten days all to myself.  Christmas should be fun and exciting time.  I really miss him in my day to day life, but the talks on the phone and the times when I do see him are holding me over.

11/23/04 ~ My coffee got cold

Well... after what I thought was a good couple days getting to know Coffee Girl she just stopped returning my calls.  All of her signals on the few days we had hung out seemed positive but maybe I am becoming illiterate in my old age and just can't read signals anymore.  I guess I need to pick up the "Girls for Dummies" book at my local Barns n Noble.

Of course, while my coffee got cold,  I recently met a new girl and have been playing kissy-face with her for a few days so I must be doing something right somewhere.  This girl is as confusing as the rest though, she wanted to make it clear that she isn't good at commitment and wants to have a good time but also had invited me over to her family's house for Thanksgiving if I didn't have something I was doing already.  I'll definitely need to get that book.
